PRANAYAMA - THE ART OF BREATHING

Pranayama, in Sanskrit, literally translates to "breath control". Physiologically, we can maintain and optimize our health through these yogic breathing techniques.

Learning the art of pranayama takes little ability yet has outstanding effects. Did you know that by learning just as little as a few pranayama techniques that you can effectively start your day with more energy than a cup of coffee?  You can also wind down at the end of the day and lull youself to sleep with pranayama.

By utilizing our pranic energy, we can program our bodies to cool down, heat up and calm the nervous system.  Especially important during yoga practice, the maintenance of breath through pranayama helps to detoxify our minds and bodies and to increase circulation, vital to distributing nutrients and oxygen to our organs.  Pranayama exercises also help to control psychological and digestive qualities.

We offer Pranayama Mornings to practice techniques daily and offer workshops where we teach beginning, intermediate and advanced pranayama.
